The Gizmo!!

We were really luck today as Eddie's Mum bought in the apple peeling gizmo! It was so much fun to peel, core and cut our apples into spirals.  Everyone enjoyed looking at it and loved practising our 'juicy words' to describe the apples.

Music

This Tuesday, Bella-Luna's Daddy Vincent, came to visit us.  He bought his guitjo .  He plays bluegrass music.  This was a little piece of one of our favourite songs that Vincent played, it is a song by Bob Dylan called Wagon Wheel.  A huge thank you to Vincent, we really enjoyed his visit.

Letter of the week - May 20th

This week our letter is 'c'.  We have been looking at the planet Mercury, we found out that it has lots of moon craters.  We used our curly letter c's to make lots of moon craters. Here are some pictures that we took.

Welcome to Piper

Today George brought his new puppy Piper to visit us.  She is only 6 weeks old.  She was sound asleep in the back of the push-chair!  Perhaps one day when she is awake, she could come and visit our whole class and we can find out about how to look after a puppy.

Kia Kaha

This week Constable Aaron came to talk to us about being kind to each other at school.  We read a story about a little girl called Cherry who had a brand new crocodile back pack.  On her way to school two girls took her back pack and threw it away.  Poor Cherry was frightened and upset.  When she got to school, she told her friend Liam, who told the teacher and the teacher was able to sort the problem out.

What did you learn from this story?

We decided that we learned that if someone hurts you or uses bullying behaviour, you should always tell someone.
Thank you Constable Aaron for helping us in our classroom.
